The family of an Indian woman at the center of a viral video wherein she slapped her future husband and stormed out of their wedding ceremony says that ghosts were to blame for the bizarre meltdown. The wild moment reportedly came to light earlier this week when a video of the incident, which is said to have unfolded at a gathering in the district of Hamirpur, popped up online and quickly spread like wildfire throughout the country. In the footage, the unnamed bride can be seen furiously striking the groom twice before gathering herself and hastily exiting the stage as the bewildered wedding attendees watch in astonishment.
As one might imagine, the shocking viral video garnered considerable media attention in India with many speculating on what could have caused the bride to brutally rebuff the man she was seconds away from marrying. While some outlets have ascribed her actions to displeasure over the groom being drunk during the ceremony, the woman's uncle offered something of a supernatural explanation, saying that his niece had been "haunted by ghosts." Fortunately, it would seem that the alleged possession did not last very long as a subsequent meeting between the two families led to the bride and groom going through with the wedding.
