Video: Goblin Filmed in Argentina?

By Tim Binnall

An eyebrow-raising piece of footage making the rounds on Argentine social media shows what appears to be a small bipedal creature that some have suggested could be a legendary folkloric goblin known as a Pombero. According to a local media report published this week, the peculiar video was filmed by a group of friends in Tucumán Province this past August. In the footage (featured below), a diminutive bipedal figure seemingly covered in dark fur can be seen exiting the side of a dirt road and vanishing into some tall grass.

Since being posted online, the maddeningly short video has sparked all manner of speculation as to what the friends managed to capture on film. One of the more fantastic theories put forward by viewers is that the small figure was a 'Pombero,' a fearsome goblin-like figure from Argentine folklore. Other equally imaginative individuals suggested the creature could have been a juvenile Ucumar, which is the country's equivalent to Bigfoot. Conversely, more skeptical observers argued that the friends filmed a monkey or faked the footage using AI. What do you think of the curious video?
