Video: Mysterious Triangular Aircraft Filmed Near Area 51

By Tim Binnall

A skywatcher stationed near Area 51 in Nevada captured thermal video of a mysterious triangular craft cruising through the sky. The eyebrow-raising footage (featured above and isolated below) was reportedly filmed by explorer and videographer Anders Otteson, who operates the popular YouTube channel Uncanny Expeditions. The content creator captured the footage on January 14th while camping on Groom Lake Road, which leads to the secretive military base's front entrance. After hearing "what sounded like multiple aircraft in the valley," Otteson scanned the sky with a thermal imager, spotting a B-2 bomber and the contrail of another plane "above the ridge line near Groom Lake."

When the skywatcher moved his position closer to the base, he managed to observe the mysterious craft that "immediately looked different than the B-2." Interestingly, Area 51 researchers subsequently revealed that, as Otteson was filming the strange scene, radio traffic was replete with a dizzying array of codewords in what is believed to be a technique used to camouflage the nature of sensitive operations. Dubbed a 'Dorito' due to its solid triangular shape, the suspected secret craft bears a striking resemblance to a similar object seen over Wichita in early 2014 that remains unidentified twelve years later.
