An Oklahoma woman needed to be rushed to the hospital after being attacked by a 'mystery creature' that inflicted such shockingly severe injuries that authorities are genuinely stumped as to what the animal could have been. According to a local media report, the unsettling incident occurred on March 29th in the small community of Blanco when Alicia Maxey was visiting a home looking for work and, upon exiting her car after pulling up to the property, something seemingly sizeable suddenly attacked her.
An hour later, the unfortunate woman was found severely injured in a nearby yard, needing immediate medical attention, and leaving authorities scratching their heads. Noting that he has been in law enforcement for nearly 40 years, Pittsburg County Sheriff Frankie McClendon mused that "I've never been involved or seen anything to this extent as far as injuries caused by a wild animal." Among the possible animals suspected of being behind the attack are a dog, a mountain lion, or a bear.
To that end, authorities are actually conducting DNA tests on samples of Maxey's clothing from the attack in the hopes of clearing up the creature confusion. Meanwhile, as the recovers in the hospital, the unfortunate victim has provided some additional insights into the odd incident which has raised eyebrows among those who follow the world of high strangeness. "Something just pounced on her and knocked her to the ground," her sister-in-law, Kat Kelley, recalled being told, "she says it was dog-like is what she described, but she didn't say it was certainly a dog."
