A new course at a college in Montana allows students the opportunity to explore the UFO phenomenon. According to a local media report, anthropology professor and former C2C guest Dr. Michael Masters teaches the Montana Tech class that began this semester. "One of my students was very honest and said that she saw the posters and thought it was a joke and registered to see if it was actually a joke," he recalled of the genuine course, which is one of only a few university-level classes covering the peculiar subject.

"This is a real phenomenon happening, whether you believe in UFOs or not," Masters mused, "it's not a belief system anymore, it's an evidence-based inquiry." Participants in the course will learn about the history of the phenomenon and examine scientific efforts to solve the mystery surrounding UFOs. Speaking to how the topic has become more accepted in recent years, student Nate O’Neil observed that "we couldn't have had this class 10 years ago; we would have all been called crazy for just taking it, probably."
