Video: Nightmarish Teddy Bear Found at California Gas Station Prompts Police Response

By Tim Binnall

California cops found themselves investigating a scene straight out of a horror film after a teddy bear seemingly wrapped in human skin was found at a gas station, but the macabre discovery seems to have been an elaborate prank. According to a local media report, the creepy incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when someone noticed the gruesome looking toy sitting in front of the convenience store portion of an AMPM in the city of Victorville. Cops were quickly alerted to the troubling teddy bear that was thought to be crafted out of some unfortunate individual's remains.

Word of the bizarre discovery and footage of police delicately taking it away for examination quickly spread like wildfire on social media with some wondering if the nightmarish toy was the calling card of a twisted killer roaming the area. Fortunately, this was not the case as a South Carolina artist revealed that the unsettling teddy bear was one of their creations that had recently been sold to someone in Victorville. The harmless nature of the toy was later confirmed in a police press release wherein they indicated that it was "constructed of man made materials and contained no human tissue." That said, cops intend to continue investigating the matter in the hopes of determining who left the teddy bear outside the gas station and, in turn, caused such a commotion.
