Staff at an Indiana theater suspect the site may be haunted after filming what appeared to be shadow figures moving down an aisle. The spooky scene, reportedly filmed in January, came to light earlier this month when the Victory Theatre in Evansville shared it online. That evening, they explained, a staff member stopped in to accept an after-hours delivery. While he tended to that, his husband ventured into the darkened theater, which is when the weirdness unfolded.
The man's presence triggered a motion-detecting security camera that captured him snapping some photos as some puzzling orbs floated around the room. Moments later, the visitor took a video of the empty theater and, when he later checked the footage at home, he spotted a pair of dark figures that he had not noticed at the time, moving in front of where he had been sitting. Particularly puzzling about the peculiar forms, the theater later noted, is that "there are rows and rows of seats in front of the location" where the footage was filmed.
Since the strange tale was shared online, some have suggested that the suspected spirits could have simply been the man's thumb passing in front of his cell phone. However, Theatre Director Lora Melone-Elliott indicated that the perspective from the "incredibly accurate" security camera suggests that was not the case. Hoping to get to the bottom of the eerie mystery, the theater is calling on paranormal investigators to look into the case.
