An anomaly hunter looking for oddities on Google Earth stumbled upon a rather intriguing find: what appears to be a sizeable cube floating over a German city. The peculiar discovery was made by indefatigable UFO researcher Scott Waring, who explained that the mysterious object can be seen when one enters the coordinates for the community of Ulm (48°22'52.0"N, 9°59'17.0"E) and then activates the virtual mapping app's 3D option. Strangely, this step allows for the curious cube, which seems to resemble something made of stone, to suddenly appear in the satellite images of the airspace over the city.
As one might imagine, the fantastic find led to all manner of speculation as to what the weird object could be. Some suggested that the cube is a clandestine craft, either alien or human, that is normally cloaked, but became visible due to the manner in which it was photographed. Others posited that the anomaly could have been inserted by Google to camouflage something else in the airspace that 'they' wish to keep hidden. Meanwhile, skeptics argued that the strange shape was probably a glitch in the program rather than something particularly extraordinary.
