Authorities in Australia are on the hunt for a creepy clown that was captured on video breaking into an animal rescue center and absconding with a puppy. The dastardly deed reportedly took place early Saturday morning when the masked miscreant managed to gain access to an RSPCA shelter located in the community of Dakabin. Security camera footage of the bizarre burglary shows the clown casually strolling along a series of cages until he finds one which contains a puppy. Suggesting that the haunting harlequin has put some thought into the audacious caper, he then pulls out a handheld saw and uses it to gain access to the enclosure.
After a brief bit of work, the clown rips open the door to the cage and forcefully takes hold of the puppy, which was later identified as a four-month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Cashew. Whilethe animal puts up something of a fight as the dognapping unfolds, it is ultimately no match for the ne'er-do-well, who carries the undoubtedly bewildered creature off to parts unknown in the dead of night. Making the snatching particularly sinister is that poor puppy had already been placed with a family that was due to pick up the dog the next day. Understandably crestfallen, they hope that someone will drop a dime on the clown so that the harlequin can be brought to justice and Cashew can finally be delivered to his forever home.
