Footage from a home security system in Florida shows the moment when a curious bear wiped out a pair of decorative reindeer that had been stationed outside a home. According to a local media report, the wild incident occurred on Monday evening in the city of Longwood as the Levin family was enjoying their dinner. The meal was suddenly interrupted when an outdoor camera alerted them to something unusual unfolding on their front lawn. To their profound surprise, the footage showed a rather sizeable bear approaching a trio of decorative reindeer and taking down a pair of the festive pieces.
"It's like they’re all there," homeowner EJ Levin recalled, "next thing you know, the camera turns on, the bear comes in and paws it down." While one of the pieces wound up merely being knocked to the ground by the curious creature, the second reindeer did not fare quite so well as the animal proceeded to drag it down the street before giving up on what we want to believe was an ill-conceived plan to spruce up its den for the holiday season. Fortunately, the family is somewhat familiar with bears crossing through their property, so they were more amused than unsettled by the animals Grinch-like antics.
