A compelling video from Mexico shows a fossil hunter stumbling upon a silver orb that eerily hovered over the ground and sent him running. According to a local media report, the peculiar incident occurred on Wednesday when witness Tommy Rio was exploring a rocky field near San Quintín in Baja California. To his profound surprise, the fossil hunt took a frightening turn when he suddenly heard a peculiar vibrating sound fill the air and subsequently spotted a small silver orb hovering over the ground a few feet ahead of him.
Posting footage (seen below) of the puzzling encounter, Rios described the sighting as "chilling" and mused, "I didn't know what to do, and I ran away from there." The witness also recalled how he visited the same spot a few days earlier and also heard the curious sound, but did not see anything unusual during that excursion. Rios indicated that the experience was unsettling enough that he has no intention of returning to the area where he saw the orb anytime soon.
As for what the weird orb could have been, some observers suggested the sphere was some kind of otherworldly monitoring system, noting previous sightings of similar objects in recent years. More skeptical viewers argued that the footage was a well-crafted hoax created by Rios to draw attention to his online content. If that is the case, he should be commended for his acting skills, as he seemed to be genuinely troubled by the orb floating in front of him.
