Watch: Flying Saucer Filmed Over Lake Tahoe?

By Tim Binnall

A fantastic piece of footage purportedly filmed at Lake Tahoe appears to show a remarkably clear UFO zipping through the sky, but some people think the video is too good to be true. Little is known about the specifics surrounding the video aside from the fact that it was popped up online after being submitted to the research organization MUFON by an individual claiming to have visited the popular tourist destination on a recent vacation. The anonymous person went on to claim that they did not notice anything out of the ordinary during "a boat right on the lake" and only spotted the oddity later on when they got home.

The short video shows a fairly standard scene from a boat tour of Lake Tahoe except for a split second moment when a strange object suddenly flies across the screen in the distance. Upon slowing down the scene, the anomaly is revealed to be a silvery, saucer-shaped object that is remarkably crisp in detail. As one can imagine, UFO enthusiasts have expressed amazement over the footage and declared that it is one of the best videos of a potential alien craft to come along in quite some time.

To that end, however, skeptical observers say that the high quality of the video is probably a good indication that it's not on the level. To that end, they argue that the 'flying saucer' was likely inserted into the footage via CGI after the fact in an effort to pull off a clever hoax. While this would certainly be a disappointing development, considering how closely the UFO resembles an iconic flying saucer, it's definitely a strong possibility.
