An eerie video from a campfire gathering shows a ghostly figure emerge from the darkness and dash into the flames. The spooky scene was filmed last month by Erica Jestat Perri, who subsequently shared the unsettling footage on TikTok and declared that "I got chills watching this." In the video, her dog seems to be looking at something approaching the backyard campfire, though whatever it was that captured the animal's attention cannot be seen. When Perri's camera follows the creature's line of sight and passes over a pile of logs, the distraction is seemingly revealed in the form of a small figure that suddenly emerges from the darkness beyond the wood and scrambles into the fire, where it vanishes.
Since being posted online, the video has amassed millions of views from confounded TikTok users wondering if the footage shows a genuine apparition. Many observers have suggested that, while Perri and her companion may not have noticed the spooky interloper, her dog was somehow able to spot the suspected spirit. That said, not everyone is convinced that the footage features anything particularly supernatural and many skeptical people argued that the 'ghost' is actually just lens flare.
