Watch: Ghost Spills Pint at British Pub?

By Tim Binnall

The staff at a pub in England were shaken when a full pint of beer inexplicably tipped over seemingly by the hand of an unseen force that they believe could have been the establishment's resident ghost. The spooky incident reportedly occurred earlier this month at the Blue House pub in the town Hendon as proprietor Darla Anderson and some of her employees were talking behind the bar. Their conversation is suddenly interrupted by the shocking moment when the glass sitting next to a customer slowly moves a few inches and then topples over, spilling beer everywhere and causing one of the workers to cry out "that was odd!"

Anderson later marveled that "I was just looking at the pint and then it just fell. There was only three or four of us in the pub at the time so there is no way that anyone could have knocked it." While the first reaction one might have to the video is that condensation could have caused the glass to slowly slip or perhaps that the bar is not level, the pub manager dismissed these possibilities since it had been sitting on a mat designed to prevent the pint from sliding. "There is just no way that it would just tip over, so it is very strange that it did," the bewildered Anderson mused, "I just can't find any reasonable explanation as to why it happened, all our customers cannot believe it."

Pointing to a recent visit from a spiritualist who sensed a presence in the pub, it would seem that the staff has settled on a more paranormal explanation for the pint's puzzling tumble as they now suspect that a ghost could have caused the spill. That theory was bolstered after they posted the security camera video to social media and the former owner of the establishment reached out to inform them that similar incidents used to occur there when she ran the bar. With that in mind, what's your take on the spill seen in the spooky footage? Was it the work of a mischievous ghost or is there a more prosaic explanation?
