An odd video making the rounds on social media in Mexico shows the moment when police respond to a report of a ghostly woman lingering outside of a cemetery and wind up encountering the eerie 'apparition.' According to a local media report, the strange incident occurred earlier this week in the community of Lules when the mysterious stranger appeared at the entrance to the graveyard in what seems to have been the middle of the night. A resident who spotted the woman was understandably perturbed by her presence and promptly called 911 to report the strange situation.
When officers arrived on the scene, they quickly located the eerie interloper and attempted to get to the bottom of her inexplicable visit, though they found themselves flummoxed by the encounter. Rather than respond to the cops, one witness recalled, the woman "started walking and making weird noises and then knelt." She is said to have then wandered off into "the bottom of a quarry" while police tried to make sense of what they were seeing. Calling the encounter "scary," the witness went on to muse that "it wasn't normal." Cops did eventually glean some information from the woman, who told them that she was looking for her son.
It is uncertain exactly how the encounter ended, though there is no indication that the police took the woman into custody and footage from the event suggests that she simply walked down a road and vanished into the darkness. Since being posted online, a video of the cops responding to the call has gone viral with many wondering if they had a genuine interaction with a ghost. That said, more skeptical-minded observers have argued the mysterious stranger may have been experiencing "an emotional or psychiatric crisis" and wondered why she was allowed to simply wander away from police. To that end, authorities have pledged to investigate the unnerving incident and get to the bottom of the very strange case.
