A massive UFO archive will soon be up for grabs in a sale being organized by a Canadian auction house. The sizeable collection reportedly comes courtesy of Los Angeles documentary producer Chris Wyatt, who spearheaded several programs exploring the phenomenon in the late 90s and early 00's. Included in the archive are an array of books, magazines, and files, as well as never-before-seen footage from his interviews with prominent figures from ufology, like Bob Lazar of Area 51 fame.
The centerpiece of the collection, in Wyatt's estimation, is a 1947 yearbook from the Roswell Air Force Base, the year when it has long been alleged that a UFO crashed in the desert outside the city. Calling the item "extremely historically important," he recalled a deathbed conversation with a witness who gave it to him and revealed that it was one of a handful of surviving copies after the 'powers that be' confiscated all of the other such annuaries following the incident. "They didn't want the media to know who was there," Wyatt explained, "and they wanted to cover it up."
Looking to unload the collection after all these years, the film producer enlisted Vancouver's Direct Liquidation to facilitate the sale. "People are going to think I’m completely crazy," owner Jeff Schwarz said of the forthcoming 'alien auction,' before expressing confidence that "once people see it, they’re going to understand it.” The company is currently sorting through Wyatt's collection and preparing lots for the sale scheduled to be conducted online in mid-December.
