A Virginia family was understandably unnerved when their home was visited by a trio of masked miscreants who menacingly demanded to be let inside. According to a local media report, the nightmarish incident occurred on Tuesday evening as Shayla Whiteside was visiting her mother's house in the city of Alexandria. Alerted to someone at the front door, she checked their Ring camera and saw three individuals dressed as a clown, a sinister nun, and Michael Myers standing outside. "At first I thought it was just a Halloween joke, a little prank," Shayla recalled. However, she quickly reassessed the situation when the trio began pounding on the door and threatening the family.
"It's either you coming out or we coming in," declared one of the masked miscreants as another demanded they open the door and called the unnerving visit "your worst nightmare." Despite Shayla telling the trio that she had called 911, the reprobates continued their assault on the home while threatening to kill the family. Incredibly, the crew of creeps even ventured around to the back of the house and began hitting the windows. "My heart dropped when they said that they were gonna take a chair and break down the door. That is just too much," she mused, "it's not even a joke gone wrong. They tried to enter into the home." The frightening visit lasted approximately 10 minutes before the trio finally fled the scene.
As one might imagine, Alexandria police are treating the case as "a very serious matter" and have launched a criminal investigation aimed at bringing the culprits to justice. "We are actively looking for you," Chief Tarrick McGuire reportedly promised the punks, "we're going to ultimately find you." Noting that their actions constituted attempted burglary among an array of other crimes, he stressed that even if the incident was a prank, it could have quickly turned into "a dangerous event." To that end, Shayla had something of a message of her own for the trio, who would be wise not to return to her home. "Our Second Amendment right was not used and could have been," she said, "like being very transparent."
