Attentive viewers watching a live feed of SpaceX's Starship launch on Monday did something of a double-take when they spotted a peculiar anomaly that some suggested could be alien in nature. The puzzling moment (seen above) reportedly occurred at around 8 minutes into the broadcast as the private spacecraft was headed into orbit. As the Starship slipped beyond the bounds of Earth's atmosphere, there suddenly appeared to be a long blue and white object lingering in the distance behind it.
The mysterious moment was quickly captured and posted online by astonished viewers who wondered what they had just seen. As one might imagine, some theorized that the anomaly was an alien craft inadvertently captured during the live stream. More skeptical observers, however, posited that the strange streak was probably remnants of gas from the Super Heavy booster, which serves as an engine for the Starship.
