Following an oddly quiet summer in which he documented no unusual activity, a diligent Loch Ness webcam watcher is back on the proverbial board after spotting a pair of puzzling humps emerge from the water of the famed Scottish site. The latest virtual sighting from tireless at-home monster hunter Eoin O’Faodhagain reportedly occurred on the evening of August 29th as he was watching a livestream overlooking the southern part of the sizeable lake. "I first noticed a large disturbance in the water on the right-hand side of the screen, more than halfway across the loch," he recalled, "then two humps partially emerged from the water, then submerged, then a large single hump appeared."
O’Faodhagain noted that the webcam subsequently rotated to scan across the loch and, when it returned to its previous position, "two humps reappeared higher out of the water than earlier, and in a different direction, showing that this object is alive and moving." The virtual monster hunter suggested to another Scottish media outlet that the "total length of the object from front to back would be 20 feet plus." O’Faodhagain noted the lack of any boats in the area at the time of the incident that could account for the unusual disturbances on the water.
While the weirdness on the water may be difficult to discern for infrequent livestream viewers, it was apparently compelling enough to get the nod from the esteemed Loch Ness Sightings Register, which added it to their very short list of compelling webcam reports for 2025. The case is something of a return to form for O’Faodhagain, whose last curious capture was back in May when he spotted what he posited was the brief appearance of a baby Nessie.
