A British couple could not believe their eyes when they caught sight of a possible big cat crossing a field outside their home. According to a local media report, the unnamed witnesses spotted the unidentified animal on Monday evening in the town of Hereford. From an upstairs window of their home, the pair looked outside and noticed the large black creature that understandably captivated them. Fortunately, the awestruck couple captured footage of the animal and their speculation as to what it could be.
"There's no way," marveled one of the witnesses, noting that the creature sported an inordinately long tail that seemed to suggest it was a big cat. Faced with some skepticism from his partner, the man amusingly insisted that the animal was one of the apocryphal felines long thought to roam the British countryside. Whether the couple came to an agreement on that assessment is uncertain, as, for the remainder of their video, the astounded pair simply watched in silence as the mystery critter ambled through the field.
That said, British big cat researchers have been quick to lay claim to the curious creature, arguing that it is further proof for such felines existing in the country. That said, the footage will undoubtedly fail to convince skeptical individuals who could make the argument that the animal was just a domestic cat out for a stroll and appearing unusual due to the perspective of the witnesses.
