A mesmerizing piece of footage from Washington state shows several pulsating lights that slowly come together to form a triangle in the night sky. The strange scene was reportedly filmed this past Tuesday evening in the city of Yakima. According to the unnamed witness, the flashing orbs "changed color from red to white in close proximity to one another over the course of a little more than a minute." In their video, the pulsating lights can initially be seen low on the horizon before slowing ascending. As the orbs climb higher in the sky, they begin moving closer together until they form a triangle pattern with each point flickering in succession.
As for what the puzzling orbs could have been, some UFO enthusiasts have theorized that they could have been alien craft that were communicating with each other by way of the pulsating lights. More skeptical observers, however, suggest a variety of prosaic possibilities such as drones or perhaps lanterns that merely looked like they were intentionally flying into a triangular formation. Since the lights clearly ascended into the sky, this would seem to preclude flares as an answer to the mysterious sighting.
