A homeowner in Thailand was understandably horrified when he spotted a bizarre 'rat worm' creature slithering up his bedroom wall. The unsettling scene reportedly unfolded in the residence of Thawiwat Sangnoi in the Thai province of Roi Et. "I got goosebumps looking at that thing," he recalled, "I have no clue what it is. It looked like an alien." Despite being aghast at his uninvited 'guest,' Sangnoi found the strength to film the oddity as it slowly undulated upwards presumably towards the ceiling of the room.
Although it is uncertain what became of this particular creature, Sangnoi can rest easy knowing that his home is not ground zero for an alien invasion as it was later determined that the 'visitor' was a rat-tailed maggot, which is a type of hoverfly larvae. A similar sighting of Mother Nature's nightmarish creation was made back in 2018 when a British woman spotted one of the creatures scurrying along the side of her porch.
