Watch: Security Camera Films 'Haunted' Wheelchair at Hospital in India

By Tim Binnall

A spooky piece of security camera footage from a hospital in India seemingly shows a wheelchair moving on its own and the eerie incident left workers at the facility wondering if the site might be haunted. The strange scene reportedly took place last week at the entrance to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in the city of Chandigarh. In the footage, the wheelchair can be seen suddenly rolling across the floor and traveling quite a distance away from the building.

As one can imagine, when word of the weirdness began spreading among hospital staff, their concerns were so serious that a number of workers said that they would no longer work on the night shift for fear of encountering whatever spirit had moved the wheelchair. However, not everyone was convinced that the building is haunted as one doctor declared that "it was just wind and not any ghost."

This assessment was apparently backed up by a security guard who appeared in the video and also observed that "it was just wind nothing else." However, he did not exactly help his case when he also noted that "I was also feeling very cold" as it seems to suggest that perhaps the movement of the wheelchair was due to an apparition after all. Regardless, one assumes that the explanation helped assuage the concerns of the workers scheduled for the night shift, provided that nothing else unsettling happens while they're on the job.
