A weird video that has gone viral on social media in Mexico shows a puzzling anomaly emerge from a hole in a sidewalk before vanishing from sight and some believe the oddity could be some kind of shapeshifting entity. According to a local media report, the strange scene was filmed by Liz Villarreal in the city of Monterrey last week. In the video, she pans over to a square-shaped space on the sidewalk when suddenly a small dark form pops out of the void and then quickly disappeared from view as if it melts back into the hole.
Upon being posted to social media in Mexico, the video spread like wildfire and sparked all manner of speculation as to what Villarreal may have filmed. Some online observers posited that she captured a legendary shapeshifting entity known as a nahual or perhaps a city-dwelling goblin.
