An eerie video from a Mexican cemetery shows what appears to be an angel statue moving on its own. According to a local media report, the chilling footage was captured at a graveyard in the city of Orizaba. In the video, seen above, a group of friends exploring the cemetery at night suddenly stops in their tracks when they notice something unusual about an angel statue standing atop a tomb. As they observe the piece in the distance, their curiosity turns to terror when the winged figure begins to move. After watching the unfathomable scene for about a minute, the unsettled witnesses become even more frightened when they also spot a sizeable shadow resembling a person moving between two mausoleums.
Since being shared online by a social media account devoted to high strangeness in Mexico, the video has gone viral, with some commenters claiming to have also seen the moving statue at the Orizaba cemetery, where urban legend states that caretakers have reported similar accounts over the years. While some viewers have suggested that the group was the latest witnesses to the phenomenon, dubbed the 'Angel of Death' by those who believe the tale, more skeptical observers argue that the scene is either a trick of light and shadow, a digital manipulation, or a clever hoax.
To that end, the footage bears an uncanny resemblance to a viral video from last year wherein witnesses also filmed what appears to be the same statue moving at the Orizaba cemetery, suggesting that the more recent incident may merely be a copy of that moment by some enterprising content creators. Of course, others will contend that the two separate scenes serve as proof that the legend of the 'Angel of Death' at the site is a genuine phenomenon.
