Residents of a city in China were left scratching their heads at the sight of a strange swarm of small glowing objects that seemingly wafted through the sky. The weird incident reportedly occurred earlier this month in Deyang and was captured on film by a bewildered witness. In the footage, what initially appears to be some kind of luminous cloud can be seen above a pair of buildings. However, upon closer view, the aerial anomaly is revealed to be a slew of small glowing dots moving in unison.
When the video was posted to social media in China, it understandably spawned an array of theories as to what the puzzling glowing dots, which are said to have stretched a staggering 1,600 feet across the sky at one point, could have been. While some suggested that the oddities were alien in nature or perhaps an ominous sign of an impending natural disaster, more skeptical observers suggested that the wondrous illuminations may simply be bugs.
