A webcam watching over a volcano in Mexico captured the moment when a triangular set of lights ascended through the sky past the smoldering site. The wondrous virtual UFO sighting was reportedly spotted Monday evening on a livestream of the simmering Popocatépetl volcano. In the strange scene (featured above), three lights in what seems to be a fixed triangular formation suddenly appear climbing through the sky before disappearing from the view of the webcam.
With the incident happening on November 2nd, which is the Day of the Dead in Mexico, some viewers on social media mused that perhaps the illuminations were souls returning to the 'other side.' Others, citing the long and rich history of UFO sightings at Popocatépetl, suggested that the triangular formation was alien in nature. And, of course, skeptical observers opined that the lights were probably something prosaic such as a satellite or a terrestrial aircraft that appeared otherworldly due to the perspective of the webcam.
