An intriguing video filmed from a plane flying over Colombia features a remarkably clear view of an odd UFO as it zips past the aircraft. The peculiar piece of footage was reportedly captured late last month by Valentina Rueda Velez while she was a passenger aboard a private plane passing over the state of Antioquia. The professional model subsequently posted it to her Instagram account with the caption "when you fly and see and [sic] alien." In Velez's footage, the peculiar object appears to emerge from the clouds ahead of the aircraft and fly towards the plane. The UFO then passes the airliner at an amazingly close distance, which allows one to see that it is somewhat diamond shaped and seemingly metallic.
The curious video quickly captured the attention of UFO enthusiasts, who have marveled at the clarity of the footage. That said, not everyone believes that the anomalous object is from out of this world as some observers have suggested that the oddity could simply be an errant helium balloon. Other skeptical viewers have also speculated that perhaps the video is a well-crafted hoax that the model shared on social media in the hopes of creating a buzz online. Should that be the case, it proved successful as the footage has sparked headlines around the world, though Velez has so far been strangely silent about her fifteen minutes of paranormal fame.
