Watch: Webcam Viewer in Hong Kong Spots Loch Ness Monster?

By Tim Binnall

A man watching the Loch Ness webcam from his home in Hong Kong spotted a strange dark object that appeared to be swimming across the water. The tantalizing observation was reportedly made by Michael Yuen earlier this month. According to the witness, he was watching the webcam "as a relief to the stress accumulated from watching recent large scale political protests in Hong Kong."

Fortunately for Yuen, he now has something fairly fantastic to occupy his mind thanks to the weird sighting which he managed to save on his computer. The moment that caught his attention was when an anomalous object appeared protruding from Loch Ness' Urquhart Bay and initially remained in one spot before moving across the water at what appears to be a pretty good speed.

Yuen's report has been accepted by the Loch Ness Sightings Register as the 14th quality case so far this year. The tally is just one shy of the 15 reports that occurred during 2018 and continues what seems to be an overall upward trend when it comes to Nessie sightings over the last few years. And, thanks to the Loch Ness webcam, Yuen may lay claim to the unique distinction of having possibly seen Nessie from a whopping 6,000 miles away from the famed location in Scotland.
