A Welsh man found himself in trouble with the law after he dressed up as the Grim Reaper and lingered atop a hospital roof, giving patients and staff the creeps. The peculiar incident reportedly occurred on June 6th in the community of St Asaph. People using the entrance of the city's Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital that day could be forgiven for wondering if their proverbial time was at hand when they spotted the man decked out in a black hooded robe and staring down at them from the roof of the building.
For nearly an hour, the eerie figure menacing patients and staff, cops took the faux Grim Reaper into custody. Revealed to be a 26-year-old man named Leon Gillespie, the lurker was charged with causing a nuisance by disturbing National Health Service staff. Fortunately for the 'Reaper,' the odd incident did not land him in jail as, after pleading guilty to the offense, the macabre mischief maker was only ordered to pay a fine of approximately $270 and, presumably, warned against pulling off any similar stunts in the future.
