A family in Zimbabwe believes that goblins are responsible for a series of mysterious deaths that have left them fighting with each other and fearing for their lives. According to a local media report, the strange situation began back in 2019 when Mbuya Menalla Pangeti Nota passed away approximately 20 years after her husband, Sekuru Fraction Nota, had also died. Since that time, their children say, their lives have been torn asunder by what seems to be a sinister force. "We were twelve in total, but now only seven of us are left," Mai Agnes Nota explained, "people in our family die suddenly, as if we are ants being swept away."
Particularly perturbing to the family is that, since 2019, one family member has passed away under unusual circumstances at around the same time every year. "Our parents left behind 52 grandchildren, but we fear they could all perish because of these strange deaths," Mai Agnes lamented, "our daughters are being divorced or widowed frequently, while the sons are also being abandoned by their wives. People say our family is cursed, that we have goblins." While some may dismiss such talk as superstition, the family points to a strange discovery that seemingly confirmed their suspicions about a hex placed upon them.
"Three weeks ago, we found a pot placed on top of our father's grave, with a knife inside and pieces of cloth of different colors," Mai Agnes recalled, "we don't know who put it there. We believe it has something to do with our suffering." Beyond the inexplicable deaths that have befallen them, they claim to have also suffered financial setbacks and general misfortune over the last several years due to the suspected curse. Alas, the situation has become so intolerable that in-fighting has erupted within the family, with younger relatives accusing their elders of causing the chaos by practicing witchcraft. By coming forward with their plight, the Notas hope to find someone who can put an end to their perceived plight before the sinister force strikes again.
