Charlie Carlson

Charlie Carlson is the author of a dozen Florida books and over 200 magazine and newspaper articles about Florida's past and folklore. He is a member of several historical societies and shares the claim with 22 other authors as an American Weird Writer (www.weirdwriters.com). He became known by his younger fans as Florida's Master of the Weird, because they could never remember his name but could always remember he originally dressed in black with a top hat when giving a presentation about Florida folklore.

He has appeared in several television and video productions in addition to being featured in segments of the Weird US series on the History Channel. He is currently filming a new production, titled, Titanic: Ship of Spirits. In 1997, Charlie Carlson released Strange Florida which led to him being a contributing writer to the Barnes and Noble best seller, Weird US. In 2003 he began work on his Florida best seller, Weird Florida, which was released in April 2005. His most recent books are Ashley's Shadow and Strange Florida II.
