Andy Cowan

Andy Cowan is a Who's Who in America Lifetime Achievement Award recipient and writer/producer/performer with staff and pilot writing credits on over a dozen comedies and talk shows, the only writer collectively associated with Cheers, Seinfeld, and 3rd Rock from the Sun. He created and hosts the comedy/therapy podcast "The Neurotic Vaccine," a 2023 Quill Podcast Award final nominee for Best New Podcast and Best Comedy Podcast. The latest "2024 Supercharged Specials, Parts 1 and 2" offer new and returning listeners freshly curated and revved-up core moments from the first ten sessions of The Neurotic Vaccine, featuring Andy’s upfront mini-therapy sessions with clinical and forensic psychologist, Dr. Scott Kopoian, and Andy’s quest for “immunity” to neurosis, along with comedy and special guest highlights with Jay Leno, Jerry Mathers & the late Tony Dow, Shark Tank's Mr. Wonderful, and much more. 

Andy is also a regularly featured writer of political cartoon panels with artist Dan McConnell for Counterpoint Media. His memoir, Banging My Head Against the Wall: A Comedy Writer's Guide to Seeing Stars, foreword by Jay Leno, was published in 2018 by Black Rose Writing and acquired in 2019 by the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, New York. He earned his master's degree in broadcasting from Boston University, began his broadcasting career in radio and TV news in Pennsylvania, and won a Cable Ace Award for his Showtime comedy sendup of 60 Minutes.
