Robert Piccioni

Dr. Robert Piccioni was born with physics in his blood. His father, Dr. Oreste Piccioni, was a famous high energy physicist who studied under Enrico Fermi, and won the prestigious Matteucci Medal. Piccioni has a B.S. in Physics from Caltech, a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics from Stanford University, was a faculty member at Harvard University and did research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator in Palo Alto, California.

Piccioni has studied with and done research with numerous Nobel Laureates. At Caltech, one of his professors was Richard Feynman, one of the most famous physicists of the 20th century, and a good family friend. Robert has been happily married for 50 years, has 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. He is the author of over 50 books, about half for general audiences and half for physics students.
