Zero Point & Anti-Gravity

Writer Nick Cook appeared on Wednesday's program discussing technological developments that involve Zero Point energy (ZPE) and anti-gravity. Cook explained that ZPE is a "background radiation source that pops in and out of existence on a relentless and infinite scale." However, he pointed out that it is difficult to make hardware that can take advantage of this boundless energy.

One use of ZPE is to harness anti-gravity, and Cook said this kind of experimentation could be traced back to Nazi Germany during WWII. They were exploring an "extraordinary cauldron of ideas," out of desperation to stay in the war, said Cook. One weapon they were working on was a bell-shaped device, that had an ionizing glow, and could have been their answer to the nuclear bomb, he said.

Cook also spoke about his investigation near the top-secret Area 51, which he conducted about a decade ago, as research for his book The Hunt for Zero Point. He witnessed an orb of orange light drift up from the mountains but was curiously "unmoved" by it. It could have been a disinformation tactic by the military, a type of stealth vehicle, or possibly an aerial vehicle with a novel propulsion system, he conjectured.

Mystery Apes in the Congo

First hour guest Shelly Lynn Williams PhD, a primate researcher, spoke about evidence for a possible new ape species discovered in the Congo. These enigmatic creatures appeared on some video footage she shot. One of the animals was gray in color, which Williams said was unusual for an ape. She believes they may be hybrids of either guerilla-chimp or chimp-bonobo, if not an altogether new species that has never been documented previously. Related images here.
