Intuition & Luck

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

Investigative reporter Randall Fitzgerald returned to the show to chat about luck and intuition and the relationship between them.He believes that luck can stem from a person tapping into their intuition about situations, as well as the intentions of other people.

The experiences of intuition, he said, strikes people in different physical ways-- a prickly sensation, a feeling in the gut or heart, or an adrenaline shot. In fact, he noted that some researchers contend that we have "a second brain in our digestive system." And in the nerves and tissues running through that area, learning and memory occurs and this "brain" may be the source of many of our unconscious decisions.

"We all have the capacity to tap into intuition," Fitzgerald stated, as he outlined 5 steps to access it:

  • Learn to reach a relaxed state of mind in any situation.
  • Learn to feel in your body where the symptoms of intuition are expressed.
  • Learn to distinguish your intuitive voice from your habits of mind.
  • Learn to channel intuition through feelings based on what you're most passionate about.
  • Learn to create your own practical exercises to willfully inspire your access to intuition.

Schiavo Case Update

In first half-hour, former paralysis victim Kate Adamson and her husband Steven Klugman spoke on behalf of the efforts to save Terri Schiavo, who is due to have her feeding tube disconnected. Adamson has made nearly a full recovery, and she believes Schiavo is in a similar medical state as she once was. The couple implored people to contact Florida congressional reps who have been mulling over a law, but may not vote on the issue until after their recess.
