Biblical Interpretation & Prophecy

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

Author, evangelical Christian, former businessman, and Air Force officer Chuck Missler discussed biblical interpretation and prophecy. Fallen angels cohabited with human women to produce hybrids known as the Nephilim in the Bible, he said, adding that other ancient cultures speak of these beings-- the Greek's demigods, and Native American's Star People, for example.

In a kind of "cosmic warfare," Satan has an agenda to thwart the plan of God using deception, Missler stated, connecting this with UFOs which he said are also involved in deception. Further, we may see a great deception by Satan using extraterrestrials as an explanation for events, he added.

The prophetic Book of Revelation is "the most fruitful and rewarding of all the studies in the Bible," but readers should be careful of how they interpret allegories, he commented. Regarding the May 21st Judgment Day publicized by Harold Camping and his religious group, Missler expressed surprise that people supposedly knowledgeable about scripture would make this proclamation. Divination (such as predicting when the 2nd coming of Christ will occur) is prohibited by the Bible, which also says the "no man knows the day or hour when these things will happen," he noted.

Jordan Codices

First hour guest, lecturer Ken Hanson talked about the discovery of the Jordan Codices, a set of books in cast lead that purport to depict the very earliest evidence we have of the Judeo-Christian movement. The codices contain images and coded letters in paleo-Hebrew, he detailed. Yet, Hanson noted that the imagery in the books bear a resemblance to a known forgery reportedly found in Egypt in 2010.
