The New Space Economy / Energy Vampires & Empaths

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

Author and journalist Rod Pyle has authored a number of science history books and produced numerous documentaries for The History Channel and Discovery Communications. In the first half, he spoke about the space economy and how people such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are creating a new space age. In contrast to the early years of space exploration by the US and Russia, the next decades will be focused more on the business aspects of space with public and private partnerships, he envisions. Bezos is stepping away from his CEO role at Amazon to devote more time to Blue Origin, his rocket company, and has been investing a lot of his own money into it. Plus, he's taken the interesting step of selling his vehicles to competitors, Pyle reported.

With SpaceX, Musk has embarked on a somewhat different trajectory, revolutionizing the industry with reusable rockets and adopting a fast and economical approach, open to making revisions along the way. He may well have a crude version of his rocket on Mars by 2024-2025, Pyle estimated. He noted that many different countries are now in space-faring ventures (the United Arab Emirates, for instance, has a probe that is approaching Mars). In terms of setting up bases on other worlds, local resources like rocks can be used as ingredients for 3-D printers to build very large structures in fairly short order, Pyle said. He's hopeful about NASA's latest mission to land the Perseverance rover at Jezero Crater on Mars, scheduled to touch down later this month.

Psychic counselor and Reiki master teacher with over twenty-five years of experience, Lisa Campion, has conducted more than 15,000 individual sessions with clients. In the latter half, she talked about empaths (highly sensitive individuals), as well as energy vampires, and methods of psychic self-defense. Empaths can strongly sense other people's feelings, which can be a double-edged sword, she explained. Campion trains empaths how to have better boundaries, and manage their energy, so they're not over-giving. She also works with them to strengthen their aura, and learn to be more grounded in the moment.

Empaths, she said, can be particularly vulnerable to energy vampires, individuals who drain energy from others. There are predatory types, who can be narcissists or sociopaths that consciously seek out targets. They see people like "batteries," a source to be drained, whether it's through money, time, or life force, she detailed. "Victim vampires" drain energy more unknowingly, Campion continued. They don't know how to manage their lives, so they rely on others constantly-- sometimes they're spouses or parents that drain the energy of those closest to them. As a way of defending yourself, she pointed out that it's important to become aware of what is happening-- such as noticing feelings of resentment around certain people. Short of avoiding energy vampires, one can set boundaries by limiting your time around them. If you start to feel drained by someone, "picture yourself inside an energy bubble," she suggested, which can strengthen your field and make you less susceptible.
