The crew of an Iberia airline flight from Spain to Cuba were stunned to spot this strange aerial anomaly out of the window of their plane.
Unsure of what it might be, they uploaded the video to YouTube in the hopes of getting an answer.
While some speculated that it may be a UFO or some kind of missile test, it was later revealed to be simply a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
Despite its Earthly origins, the odd sight serves as a profound example of how differentiating between man made and potential alien craft is only going to get more difficult as our technology improves.
