Art Bell Vault: Behind the Music

Our newest feature for Coast Insiders, The Art Bell Vault, offers an expanding curated collection with two vintage shows added to the mix each Wednesday. This week's new programs showcase fascinating conversations with noteworthy musicians. First, in an episode from 2/21/02, Art spoke with Eric Burdon, lead singer of the legendary rock band The Animals, about his remarkable life and career. He recounted growing up in England right after WWII had ended, how his love of music developed, and being a part of the historic British invasion during the 1960s.

Next, we journey back to October 19th, 2001 for an unforgettable episode in which beloved musician Crystal Gayle debuted her song Midnight in Desert, which she specifically wrote and recorded for Art. This classic program also features Richard C. Hoagland discussing Princeton's Global Consciousness Experiment and how it may have been influenced by an intention experiment conducted by Art on the previous night's show.

These vintage programs have commercials and breaks removed and are presented in multiple-platforms-- available on-demand for Mac, Windows, IOS, and Android. Many of them feature rare "5th" hours of content from back in the 90s when the show had a longer running time. We do include Art's beloved bumper music, which became such an indelible part of his program.

And for the true Art Bell fan, we offer different listening options to fine-tune your experience, such as guest only, and full show streams. Coast Insiders, we're very happy to bring this new offering to you at no additional charge to your subscription! We welcome your feedback.
