This week's programs explore America's intelligence agencies, beginning with a fascinating episode from 8/28/2001 in which Art spoke to Candice DeLong, who was a high-level FBI agent for 20 years. She recounted her tracking terrorists and going undercover to help catch the Unabomber. DeLong also reflected on her experience being a woman in the mostly male-run intelligence agency.
Next, we journey back to May 1st, 1998, for a program wherein Art was joined by Ron Regehr and Derrel Sims for a conversation about the Central Intelligence Agency and the capabilities of spy satellites. They detailed the kind of information that can be picked up by these sophisticated devices as well as various policies and operations of the CIA. The duo also discussed the UFO phenomenon, including the Phoenix Lights incident, and the possibility of artificial structures being on the moon.
These vintage programs have commercials and breaks removed and are presented in multiple-platforms-- available on-demand for Mac, Windows, IOS, and Android. Many of them feature rare "5th" hours of content from back in the 90s when the show had a longer running time. We do include Art's beloved bumper music, which became such an indelible part of his program.
