During his appearance, he shared his skeptical perspective on a variety of extraordinary phenomena and claims, including psychic mediums, EVPs, and dowsing. Shermer also mused about the realm of quantum science and why it probably is not connected to the thought process.
Next, we journey back to March 5th, 2005, for an episode in which Art spoke to Ben Chertoff, research editor for Popular Mechanics magazine, who discussed a number of claims made by 9/11 conspiracy theorists and provided explanations for these purported 'lingering questions.' Among the issues addressed during the program were assertions that the U.S. Air Force purposely stood down during the attack and did not scramble any fighter jets to thwart the hijacked planes as well as the argument that jet fuel does not burn hot enough to melt steel and, therefore, something was amiss with the official version of how the Twin Towers fell.
These vintage programs have commercials and breaks removed and are presented in multiple-platforms-- available on-demand for Mac, Windows, IOS, Android, and the Coast app. Many of them feature rare "5th" hours of content from back in the 90s when the show had a longer running time. We do include Art's beloved bumper music, which became such an indelible part of his program.
