A witness in Argentina was left scratching her head when she spotted a baffling beam of light that briefly lit up the night sky before vanishing. According to a local media report, the curious sighting occurred earlier this week near the village of Clemente Onelli as Eve Diaz and a friend were taking photos of the moon in the wee hours of the morning. The peacefulness of the moment was pierced when they first noticed a puzzling glow at the entrance to the community. Although Eve initially dismissed it as an illuminated sign, her opinion quickly changed when the pair got closer to the wondrous light.
To their surprise, Diaz later recalled, they observed an "intense" red light that moved in a circular fashion. To their astonishment, the peculiar glowing anomaly then suddenly transformed into a white beam of light. “It was as if they had illuminated the ground," she marveled, "it was practically day." The strange phenomenon remained in the sky for approximately five seconds, allowing her to snap a photo (seen below) of the bewildering beam of light before it vanished from sight. Amusingly, her friend also disappeared, fleeing the scene in fright, while Diaz remained captivated by the mysterious illumination.
"I was focused on taking the picture," Diaz said, "I was curious, I wanted to know what that was." While she initially hesitated taking the picture out of fear that people would dismiss the scene as being AI, she did commendably snap the photo and subsequently shared it online, where it has sparked considerable discussion as to what the weird light could have been. For her part, Diaz expressed uncertainty at what she and her friend observed that morning, musing, "I’ve seen other lights, but this time it was something very different.
