A pair of witnesses in South Carolina spotted a sizeable bipedal figure, which they suspect could have been Sasquatch, dash across the road in front of their car. The intriguing incident, which came to light over the weekend through a report posted by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, occurred in mid-January as witness Kay Phillips was traveling along a highway near the city of Johnsonville. "As we approached the first of two bridges over Lynches River," she recalled, "my friend exclaimed, 'Did you see that!'"
To her astonishment, when Philips turned to look, she observed "a bipedal being with black hair, quickly crossing the road, left to right, as we passed." The inexplicable figure, she said, stood around six feet tall and bounded across the highway in a mere three or four strides before scrambling "down a sharp embankment into a swampy pine forest thicket." The pair were understandably shocked by what they had just seen, specifically how fast it moved.
Adding an intriguing element to Phillips' account, she told the organization, another friend spotted a strikingly similar figure "on the same road in the same direction" two days after her sighting. In this instance, the six-foot-tall, black fur-covered bipedal being was standing along the side of the highway. After being seen by her friend, the possible Sasquatch vanished back into the brush in the same manner as the creature seen by Phillips and her friend days earlier.
