Delaware Named Top State for UFO Spotting

By Tim Binnall

An updated listing of the top states for UFO spotting found Delaware to be the location with the highest likelihood of seeing something otherworldly in the sky. The enlightening project from online gambling hub casino.ca follows their flying saucer rankings released last October at the start of spooky season. The proverbial sequel study, produced in recognition of Alien Abduction Day this past Friday, takes into account "sighting entries on the National UFO Reporting Center" through March 11th, 2026, resulting in a shake-up among the top-ranked states.

Specifically, the new study saw Delaware vault from fourth place to number one on the list with one UFO sighting for every 928 residents. The previous 'champion,' Washington State, now occupies the number two spot ahead of New York, which moved up from 5th to 3rd, Oregon, which dropped from 2nd to 4th, and Florida, which fell from 3rd to 5th. While the top of the list wound up shuffled, the bottom five states went unchanged, with, in descending order, Virginia, New Jersey, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana rounding out the rankings yet again.
