Goat with 'Human Face' Born in India

By Tim Binnall

A newborn goat in India is causing something of a stir thanks to a mutation that caused its face to resemble that of a human. The unique-looking creature, which sports a flattened snout and a set of haunting eyes, was reportedly delivered last week in the village of Nimodia. Mukeshji Prajapap, who owns the odd goat, subsequently posted a video of the animal online and it quickly went viral in the country.

It is claimed that the goat's remarkable appearance has captivated residents of the village where it resides and that the animal is now being "worshiped as an avatar of God." While that may be more a matter of spiritual conjecture, scientists say that the creature's condition is likely due to a congenital defect not unlike what has been seen in other parts of the world where similarly mutated farm animals have found viral fame over the past few years.
