Otherworldly communication, American ghost stories, and Pennsylvania cryptid cases were among the fascinating realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a fantastic UFO video from a flight over New York City, a possible ghost spotted by a security guard in Mexico, and a hat bobble that was mistaken for an injured baby hedgehog. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Curious cryptid cases in Pennsylvania took center stage on Sunday night's program as researcher Stan Gordon shared insights from decades-long career investigating such sightings in the Keystone State. He recounted how a now-legendary wave of odd Sasquatch reports, including some that involved UFOs, in the early 1970s caused him to reconsider his initial belief that Bigfoot was merely a yet-to-be-discovered animal species and, instead, mused that the mystery appears to be far stranger than that. During his appearance, Gordon recalled some of the more unique cases that he has investigated over the years, including Thunderbirds, small glowing spheres, and an enormous spider that measured more than six feet in length.

This past week was a weird one for security guards in Mexico as there were two separate incidents wherein workers stumbled upon eerie scenes that left them scratching their heads. On the campus of a college in Mexico City, a nightwatchman captured footage of a shadowy figure running through a building, but when he went to investigate the mysterious interloper, there was no one to be found. Later in the week, a department store security guard was stunned when several Alexa devices suddenly 'came to life' in the middle of the night and began praying. The witnesses' video of the unsettling experience went viral on social media in Mexico, amassing a staggering 13 million views in just a few days.

Is it possible to communicate with otherworldly entities by way of hypnosis and meditation? Filmmaker Rich Martini explored this tantalizing question on Wednesday night's program. Noting that recent scientific studies suggest that the brain may possess a filter that obscures information deemed unimportant for survival, he posited that people possessing psychic powers may be able to bypass that biological block. He indicated that there are instances wherein people placed in a deep meditative state report speaking to a group of spiritual entities dubbed the Divine Council. During his appearance, Martini also talked about the alien abduction phenomenon and how the 'visitors' known as the Greys may actually be AI-powered machines.

Crossing our desk this past week were a pair of particularly intriguing videos featuring unusual objects in the sky. In Brazil, witnesses captured footage of a glowing diamond-shaped UFO that silently hovered over a city to the astonishment of those who caught sight of the strange aerial anomaly. Meanwhile, a passenger on a flight departing New York City inadvertently filmed a remarkably clear saucer-shaped object that zipped past the plane shortly after takeoff. Theories as to what the weird UFO might have been range from a clandestine craft of some kind to a harmless balloon, though as of now the nature of the anomaly remains a mystery.

Coast listeners were treated to a veritable tour of haunted America on Thursday night's program as author Mike Kozlowski detailed his research into some of the country's spookiest spots. Among the locations covered during his conversation with C2C's investigative reporter Cheryll Jones was a room at the Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago that has proven to be so unsettling that the proprietors have actually sealed it off from the public. Kozlowski also told the story of a legendary Salt Lake City ghost known as the 'Purple Lady' and a Kentucky bar, Bobby Mackey's Music World, which has long been the site of all manner of strange paranormal activity.

Two amusing tales of mistaken identity wound up making headlines this past week. First, in England, a kindly animal lover spotted what she thought was a downed baby hedgehog on the side of a road. She proceeded to scoop the critter up and bring it home, where she provided it with a warm spot and some cat food. Concerned for the creature's condition, she ultimately brought it to an animal hospital a few hours later and was informed by the vet on duty that the 'hedgehog' was really just the bobble from a winter hat. Then, in Washington state, a suspected Sasquatch sighting unraveled when a newspaper article on the incident caught the attention of a cross country runner who revealed that the witnesses had mistaken him for Bigfoot.
