In Coast You Missed It 4/19/24

The pros and cons of AI, alternative healing techniques, and encounters with a reptilian were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a murder trial involving a suspected Sasquatch sacrifice, a spooky USO spotted in the Gulf of Mexico, and an escaped circus elephant that wound up wandering the streets of a Montana city. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

The dual nature of alternative intelligence was explored on Saturday night's program as podcaster Alex Tsakiris discussed both the benefits and dangers of the emerging technology. Noting that AI poses considerable risks when it comes to allowing for deception and manipulation of the public, he argued that it could also allow for an enormous leap forward in our understanding of the science of medicine and environmental issues. Tsakiris cautioned against becoming spellbound by the technology and, instead, suggested that acknowledgment of the challenges associated with AI is critical when it comes to integrating it into our everyday lives.

A particularly bizarre murder trial unfolded this past week in the case of an Oklahoma man who killed his fishing buddy out of fear that the victim had summoned Sasquatch to eat him. Initially thought to be pleading guilty by reason of insanity for the July of 2022 incident that sparked worldwide headlines, Larry Sanders' attorney surprised the court by, instead, arguing that he was actually innocent because he acted in self-defense. Despite testifying at the trial that he had seen three Sasquatches seemingly prepared to devour him at the behest of his late friend, the fisherman's reasoning for the killing proved to be unpersuasive and he was ultimately found guilty of first-degree murder.

Alternative healing methods were a hot topic of conversation on the program this past week. First, on Monday night's program, psychiatrist Eric Leskowitz posited that the human body is enveloped by an energy field that can be manipulated to improve one's wellness by way of meditation and physical exercise. A similar concept was put forward on Tuesday night's program by author Jonathan Hammond, who shared insights into how the Hawaiian healing practice of Hooponopono allows for the eradication of deleterious subconscious patterns as well as past traumas. And, on Thursday night's show, integrative family medicine practitioner Elson M. Haas talked about the benefits of emotional detoxing.

This past week featured two separate stories of sizeable creatures that wound up unexpectedly finding freedom and subsequently roaming the streets. First, in South Africa, a skirmish between hippopotamuses at a nature reserve resulted in one of the monstrous animals crashing through a fence into a neighboring community where residents were forced to shelter in place as the beast wandered around the Cape Town suburb. Later in the week, residents of the Montana city of Butte found themselves in a similar position when an elephant from a visiting circus managed to escape its enclosure and dashed through traffic until ultimately being wrangled by its handlers.

A remarkable story of possible reptilian visitations was recounted on Sunday night's program by bestselling author Max Hawthorne, who detailed how these chilling experiences have proven to be so profound that they have caused him to pause his lucrative writing career. He recalled how the weird encounters began with the sighting of a winged creature that he likened to a homunculus and when he later attempted to photograph the oddity with a trail camera, he wound up capturing footage (see video still) of a reptilian humanoid being. During his appearance, Hawthorne also revealed that these entities have communicated with him through short phrases that were imparted telepathically.

A pair of intriguing videos involving mysterious glowing objects in both the air and sea popped up on our radar this past week, beginning with footage from a group of friends who spotted a peculiar orb hovering over the city of Melbourne, Australia. Shortly after they began filming the anomalous illumination, the oddity suddenly took off at a remarkable speed, leaving them wondering what it was that they had just seen. Meanwhile, a research vessel operating in the Gulf of Mexico encountered an eerie glowing object that was seemingly sitting on the ocean floor. Strangely, underwater cameras deployed to observe the USO were unable to determine the nature of the weird stationary light that left those on the ship scratching their heads.
