In Coast You Missed It 6/24/22

UFO disclosure, Bigfoot, and animal reactions to the paranormal were among the fascinating topics covered this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a man who may have talked to a ghost through his Alexa, a possible smiling Sasquatch photographed in Georgia, and an apartment complex in Malaysia with an unwanted reputation for being haunted. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

While the history of the paranormal is replete with accounts of people encountering high strangers, some such incidents feature a secondary witness in the form of an animal companion. On Thursday night's program, author Linda Zimmermann talked about her research into cases wherein creatures have been seen reacting to UFOs and ghosts. She argued that animals provide a unique insight into the unknown as they have a different perception from humans. That said, Zimmermann also observed that their most common reaction is similar to that of people as they exhibit fear and then attempt to hide.

After largely laying dormant throughout 2022, Bigfoot came roaring back in the news this past week by way of two intriguing stories. Fist, in Michigan, police were enlisted to investigate an odd call from a resident who spotted a possible Sasquatch on her home security system, though cops later disputed reports surrounding the incident. Then, in Georgia, a man exploring a forested area near his workplace stumbled upon a veritable wonderland of weird stick structures that he believes were the work of the famed cryptid. While documenting the puzzling discovery, he snapped a photograph that just might show a smiling Sasquatch peering out at him from behind a tree.

UFO disclosure activist Stephen Bassett has been fighting for government transparency concerning the mysterious phenomenon for decades and, on Tuesday night's program, he reacted to the latest developments toward that ambitious goal. Sharing his thoughts on the recent Congressional hearing on UAPs, he pointed to the Malmstrom AFB incident involving nuclear weapons being brought up in discussion as a particularly significant moment. He theorized that future hearings will be more revelatory and could eventually lead to the president telling the world about an ET presence. During his appearance, Bassett also reflected on NASA's new efforts to investigate UFOs.

This past week saw a pair of stories centered around haunted locations with decidedly different perspectives on the matter. In Malaysia, more than 100 tenants of an apartment building literally took to the streets to protest against rumors that the building is inhabited by ghosts. The residents insisted that they have never encountered any spirits in the complex and blamed YouTube videos for the site's haunted reputation. Meanwhile, a bar in Indiana that is said to be the home of at least six ghosts went up for sale and the realtor in charge of the listing has embraced the paranormal nature of the establishment in the hopes that will entice a buyer.

The legendary Sasquatch took center stage on Sunday night's program as researcher Tobe Johnson and Brett Eichenberger discussed their new documentary A Flash of Beauty: Bigfoot Revealed. Sharing a number of elements explored in the movie, they noted that witnesses to the famed cryptid sometimes experience profound PTSD following the proverbial world-shattering encounter. They also discussed cases wherein it is claimed that people can communicate with the creature, puzzling stick structures associated with Sasquatch sightings, and Bigfoot's relationship with indigenous tribes throughout North America.

In what might be an indication that the spirit world can inhabit any form of modern technology, this past week saw a spooky video pop up online wherein a man seemingly speaks to a ghost through his Alexa. The chilling home security footage shows the rattled witness being roused from his bed by a commotion in his home and, as he is going to investigate the situation, he is bewildered when the speaker of his home assistant suddenly says "she was my wife." What follows is a very weird 'conversation' between the man and his Alexa that some believe was some kind of communication with the 'other side,' while others argued that the whole affair was merely a clever prank.
