In Coast You Missed It 8/3/18

Technological advances foretold in the Bible, a personal experience seeing a fleet of UFOs, and the mysterious psychokinesis phenomenon were among the topics explored on Coast to Coast AM this past week. And, here at the Coast website, we told you about an alleged time traveler with a truly strange story, detailed a pair of reports concerning mysteries both ancient and modern, and shared a bizarre video of an entity of some kind that's still got us scratching out heads. Check out our recap of this week's C2C highlights ... In Coast You Missed It.

This past week saw a pair of Coast programs covering the ever-intriguing UFO phenomenon. On Monday night's program, UFO expert Robert Stanley detailed his own personal experience witnessing a fleet of anomalous objects in the sky one evening while trying to photograph Mars. And on Wednesday's edition of C2C, writer Bret Lueder shared his thoughts on how UFOs may be connected to spiritual traditions and theorized about what may be the true agenda of these visitors as well as where they may actually reside.

One of the weirder paranormal trends of the year popped up in the news again this week as yet another alleged time traveler stepped forward with a truly fantastic tale. This particular individual, shrouded in mystery much like his contemporaries, distinguished himself by claiming that, rather than journeying to the future, he had actually gone to the distant past and saw dinosaurs! Although we're more than a bit dubious when it comes to his account, he does deserve some credit for coming up with a new twist to the time traveler mythos.

While one may think that the amazing technology of today was predicted by only science fiction writers, author Paul McGuire made the case on Wednesday night's program that it may have been foretold in the Bible. Among the topics he covered was a chilling caution about how artificial intelligence may serve to usher in the Antichrist. To that end, McGuire warned that the notorious being could arrive in the form of a transhumanist who has harnessed AI to do its sinister bidding.

Both an ancient mystery and a modern one made headlines this week by way of two different thought-provoking reports. First, authorities in Malaysia shared their findings from a comprehensive investigation into the infamous disappearance of flight MH370 and revealed that some kind of 'unlawful inference' caused the plane to vanish. Meanwhile, scientists studying the cremated remains of bodies found at Stonehenge determined that they were likely from Wales and may have been the builders of the famed monument.

The power of the mind, specifically psychokinesis (PK), was explored on Tuesday night's program by clinical psychologist Joseph Gallenberger. He noted that it seems as if the scientific community may finally be coming around to the possibility that PK is real and that there are a number of studies which have strengthened the case for the mysterious phenomenon in recent years. As to how to harness this ability, Gallenberger observed that a negative attitude can hinder how psychokinesis works and that having a flow of positive energy can allow one to better tap into PK to improve their own lives.

Easily the creepiest thing to come across our desk this week was an eerie video of what appears to be some kind of humanoid stalking a moose near a forest in Quebec. The riveting piece of footage almost necessitates multiple viewings until one can get a handle on what they are watching and, even then, the precise nature of the anomaly remains quite baffling. Was it just another forest creature made to look spooky by way of light and shadow or could it have been something supernatural? Truth be told, we're still stumped by the strange video.
